iPhone/iPad universal application
Marine GeoGarage proposes some iPhone/iPad universal applications which give you access to all the catalogue of nautical raster charts for the countries whose national Hydrographic Services have signed an agreement for hosting their raster charts with our Cloud computing solution.
So these mobile applications are the alter ego apps for sailing of the Marine GeoGarage web portal.
One of the biggest features in Marine GeoGarage service is that the charts are tied to the GeoGarage servers :
so no need to purchase or reload charts.
This means that the chart data will be always updated, constantly changing when Hydrographic Services release new updated charts.
The Marine GeoGarage universal apps for iPhone and iPad with Hydrographic Services 'open data' nautical charts are now available in Apple's iTunes App Store at the less-than-a-latte price of $5.99.

- Track display : Marine mobile apps uses the embedded GPS (iPhone 3GS/ iPhone 4 or iPad 3G) to display the track of your boat in real-time on the multi-touch scrolling and zooming nautical chart.
- Waypoint plotting : with course and distance to the boat
- Seamless chart to chart display : no need to preload charts in memory
- Offline use : all the charts viewed online are memorized in the cache memory of the application in order to be viewed offline when you are unable to get reception (similar to the cache for the web application)
